Q: “When using a data logger, is there a philosophy you use to decide where to divide up your sectors?”
A: I usually divide the track at just before each braking point, as that gives me a sector that includes the braking zone, corner, and following straight. Sometimes I’ll add a sector divide in the middle of a section of track that includes a few corners, but only if I see a good reason to. Keep it simple, but you really want to include the braking zone, corner and following straightaway up to the next brake zone.
The lateral g’s can also be used, setting some threshold increase from 0 tone the trigger.
