This exclusive 2-Day Speed Secrets Level-Up Program is built for experienced drivers who want more than just more laps—they want to reach the next level.

Seat time matters. But quality, coached seat time changes everything.

Ross Bentley and a hand-selected team of elite coaches will strategically and safely stretch your skills so you can drive closer to your car’s true limits more consistently and with greater confidence. You’ll sharpen car control, refine key techniques, elevate your vision and track-learning ability, and strengthen your mental performance. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to learn—so your improvement continues long after the program ends.

This is not a typical HPDE or racing school. Through focused classroom sessions, targeted on-track drills (the “secret sauce”), pit-lane debriefs, and coached lapping, you’ll experience the same development methods Ross has used for decades to guide drivers from novice to world-class winners. Think of it as an advanced degree in performance driving—not just faster laps, now, but the tools to keep getting better for years to come.

Hosted at Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit—a Tilke-designed layout purpose-built for driver development—you’ll benefit from corner variety, technical challenge, rapid learning repetition, and world-class facilities.

Bring your own car. The goal is simple: maximize the combination of you and your machine.

The Keys to Leveling Up!

  1. Drive the Limit: Learn to feel what the car is doing at its limits—and let it show you where the speed is.
  2. Deliberate Practice: Train specific skills with focused drills instead of relying on random laps.
  3. Experimentation: Progress faster by safely testing ideas, feeling differences, and learning what actually works.
  4. The Mental Game: Develop the mental skills that control every input you make in the car.
  5. Learn How to Learn: Gain the self-coaching tools to keep improving long after the program ends.

FAQs

Do I bring my own car, or will one be provided?

Bring your own (track day or race) car. It’s best to learn in your own car, as you’ll develop your skills while exploring its limits.

Can I bring an open-wheel or sports racing car (Rush, Radical, etc.)?

For the April 2026 program, we want to keep the types of cars relatively similar, and mixing low purpose-built race cars with production cars can lead to safety issues. Having said that, everything you learn in a production-based car will apply to your race car. Ross and his coaches have lots of experience with most race cars, and can help you adapt any minor technique changes.

Will I have an instructor in the car with me?

If necessary, but that is not the point of this program. You will learn more through the experience you gain doing the various drills and focused driving exercises than you will by having an instructor tell you what to do. When Ross coaches pro drivers, he does not ride in the race car with them, and yet they improve faster than if he did. This program is like a “group 1-on-1” coaching session with Ross.

Will I learn how to pass? Is this a racing school?

We won’t intentionally set up racecraft scenarios, but passing will be allowed. The first step of being a great racer is being consistently faster while being aware of other cars on track, and that’s a major focus of the program.

Will you be using data for coaching?

If you have any type of data system, bring it, as it can speed up the learning process. However, we won’t have time to go in-depth into teaching you to use your data system (that’s a whole other program!).

How long will the days be?

Full, intense! But in a good way. Start time is 8:30am, we will break for lunch around noon, and finish up by 5:00pm. There will be short breaks throughout the day for refreshments and to let your mind catch up with all that you’ve learned.

Will lunch be available?

Your program fee includes a lunch each day. Please inform us when registering if you have any special dietary needs.

Where can I stay near the track?
Special rates are available at the Villa Eyrie Resort (https://www.villaeyrie.com). Also, Best Western, Super 8, and other hotels in Duncan are within 10 minutes of the track.
Can I leave my car at the facility overnight between the track days?
Yes. The facility is fully secured overnight.
Will this program be available later in the season?
That depends on how many drivers register, but at this moment in time, this is the only session scheduled.
How do I get to VIMC?

From Vancouver, BC, take the ferry (BCFerries.com) from the Tsawwassen terminal to either Nanaimo-Duke Point or Swartz Bay, then drive to Duncan, BC and the VIMC.

From Washington state, cross the USA/Canada border on Interstate-5, and use the same Tsawwassen ferry as above; or take the Black Ball ferry (cohoferry.com) from Port Angeles, WA into downtown Victoria, BC and drive to Duncan, BC and the VIMC.
