Performance & Race Driving Tip
Speed Secret: Practice how you plan to race, and then you’ll race as you practiced.
How can you expect to drive at the car’s limit if you never practice driving at the car’s limit?
I see drivers do this all the time: They go out for a practice session and drive at 90 or 95%, thinking they’re reducing the chances of risking a crash. Well, they might be during that practice session, but they might also be increasing their chances of a crash in the race. How? By not having practiced the way they plan to race. If, in the race, they take their driving up to close to 100%, they’ve spent little time at that level. And that might increase their chances of a crash in the race.
So, the next time you think you’ll take it easy in a practice session, think again. Practice like you plan to race.
